Originally from Vancouver, British Columbia in Canada, Mark Freemantle now resides in Wellington, New Zealand. Always interested in wrestling, he attended the KPW "Wild 4 Wrestling" school. Following his graduation, mark Freemantle began appearing on KPW shows as a referee, making his official debut at KPW’s “Afterblaster 2” in September 2008.
Continuing to train as a wrestler enabled him to embrace the Canadian aspect of his heritage and made him determined to make the transition from official to grappler. Mark Freemantle is a young up-and-coming wrestler that prefers to take risks with his aerial arsenal than just play it safe. This is due to his desire to prove himself in the ring against any and all opponents. He knows what’ll get him noticed by the fans, noticed by KPW management and take his opponents by surprise. This why Freemantle styles himself as “The X-Factor”, as his speed and unpredictability make it that much harder for opponents to predict from which direction the next attack will come.
Mark Freemantle was given an opportunity to step up and prove himself.
Completely unafraid of competition and always seeking to step up to a challenge, Mark Freemantle made his wrestling debut facing not one but two opponents simultaneously, facing Whetu the Maori Warrior and “The Fixation” Jimmy Fox in a triple threat match at KPW’s “Make or Break” In July 2010.
When fellow “young Turk” Dane King began having king-sized problems with commentator-turned wrestler and braggart “The Wonderful Wilba Force” and the thuggish, dangerous veteran Irishman Mike Ryan, Mark Freemantle jumped at the chance to help. Mark Freemantle and “The Young Lion” Dane King joined forces to take on Irishman Mike Ryan and Wilba Force at KPW “Halloween Howl 5” in a thunderous tag team encounter!
Fearless, cheerful, high-flying and exciting, Mark Freemantle represents the Maple Leaf by putting his body on the line to fly through the air to put his opponents away!
