Bloody H – Flame overcomes Jonnie Juice to Retain KPW TITLE

This past Friday night saw a bloody H – Flame overcome the odds once again to retain his newly won Kiwi Pro Wrestling title against longtime rival Jonnie Juice.

The rabid crowd was on their feet from the moment H – Flame stepped into the ring and the 2 men locked up to the moment H – Flame was able to outsmart Jonnie's obvious new plot and blasted the king of cool with a Nuke (sunset flip power bomb) to retain the title.

The match was an epic back and forth battle with neither man giving the other an inch and showing their knowledge of each other from previous encounters. H – Flame looked to be in trouble early as a brutal kick from Jonnie drove his face into the mat causing him to be busted open.

Team Pretty was once again proving themselves to be as evil as they are pretty with Jonnie utilizing both Jessie and Hollie to beat H – Flame down on the outside while he decided to have a chat to the referee. Hollie also inserted herself into the match by pulling referee Charlie Roberts outside the ring after a thunderous H – Flame power bomb that would have spelt an early night for Juice.

As the match wore on the conditioning of both men became an obvious factor and when it looked like Jonnie would be leaving empty handed he switched to his back up plan as The Ram made his way out to the ring. Once he reached ringside Hollie and Jessie chose this time to have more words with Roberts. With his back turned Jonnie lined H – Flame up for a Ram roundhouse but the champion moved at the last minute which sent Jonnie reeling. Flame was quick to capitalize and sent Ram flying before blasting Jonnie into next week with the nuke for the 3 count.

After the match Jonnie and Ram got into a heated confrontation that ended with Ram chasing Team Pretty to the back after a short shoving match.

KPW Powerslam also saw several new debuts: the most notable was that of the mysterious new duo known as The Inquisition. Both men made their presence felt twice in the course of the night. The first time was attempting to destroy Inferno only to find themselves run off by Max the Axe before they could finish the job.

Later in the night as Max was awaiting the arrival of Rogue Trooper he was confronted by Ram and Jeremiah. As the 2 behemoths went toe to toe the Inquisition came out to finish the job they started and shoved Charlie Roberts out of the way before systematically destroying the Axe before nearly cutting him in half with a brutal move that left Max nearly lifeless mid ring.

Platinum def. El Condor

A newcomer to KPW, Platinum looked set on proving a point and quickly took out El Condor’s legs. Platinum continued to dominate with an impressive second rope bulldog and spinning handstand elbow drop. El Condor attempted to subdue the determined newcomer with 2 quick leg drops but it wasn’t enough to put him away. As both men struggled to their feet Platinum was quick to capitalize and clip El Condors wings with what is apparently known as the Shape Shifter (Double Underhook Overdrive)

D Money def. John ‘Air Guitar’ Aldrige

In the second debut of the night the cocky male model faced the fresh faced Air Guitar. Money obviously was taking the challenge to lightly as he found himself on the receiving end of punishment for most of the match including Aldrige’s patented legdrop. Despite this however D Money proved his ring savvy and after knocking the newcomer silly with a DDT, Money picked him up and dropped him with the Cha – Ching (Franchiser) in short order.

Jeremiah def. El Ninja De Oro

Dr Diablo continued his quest to bring down the massive Jeremiah, this time bringing in a mysterious opponent known as the Golden Ninja. The Ninja showed his apprehension walking to the ring but showed no fear in going toe to toe with the giant. One clothesline and a thunderous head butt later and the Ninja made a disappearance under the ring.

De Oro then popped out the other side and looked to make a dent in Jeremiah with a series of strikes but Jeremiah just shrugged them off and avoided a strange mist that De Oro looked to blind him with. Ram then called for Jeremiah to throw his victim out to him, a perplexed Jeremiah watched on as Ram then knocked El Ninja senseless with a Ram Out (Stunner) on the wooden floor. One Graveyard Shift (Spin out gut buster) later and Diablo’s newest team member was sent packing.

Buck vs. Inferno – No Contest

After a pull apart brawl at the last show both men looked to gain superiority over the other in this wild match. Inferno started off in firm control of the match working over Buck’s arms with a series of holds. Buck was quick to gain control and slowed the match down in an attempt to nullify Inferno’s fast paced offence.

Midway through the match the Inquisition made their way to ringside and began surrounding Inferno. All it took was a moment and then Inferno found himself on the receiving end of a 3 on 1 beating until Max the Axe hit the ring and cleared the Inquisition out before any real damage could be done to his friend Inferno.

Max the Axe vs. Rogue Trooper – No Contest

A new look Max the Axe waited in the ring for his scheduled opponent but was instead confronted by The Ram and Jeremiah. After verbally degrading Max, Ram set Jeremiah onto him despite the referee’s protests. As the 2 behemoths began exchanging right hands Brother Axle and Reaver made their way back out and stormed over to help beat down the Axe.

The 3 on 1 mugging continued uninterrupted until the Inquisition nearly cut the Axe in half with a devastating double team move. As they slunk away Ram invited Buck to come back out and take his shots. After stomping away at a near lifeless Max, Buck took the time to taunt the crowd as Max was able to fight to his feet. When Buck looked back to see what was going on he was cut in half with a thunderous clothesline by Max, taking his cue Buck turned tail and fled.

Last Roll of the Dice match: Creed def. Ram

Longtime rivals squared off in a special match that Creed had demanded to prove he had the skills to put away the dastardly Ram. The 2 men started off fast and furious with Creed overwhelming Ram with his martial arts prowess. Creed kept up the assault as he went to work on destroying the legs of Ram.

As Creed kept up the pressure Ram screamed out in pain from the numerous submission holds that he was being kept in. Ram was able to fight back however and nailed Creed with a series of his trademark moves including the Fijian Sunrise (Rude Awakening), the Ramification (Face first suplex) and the Ram Out (stunner). Creed showed his resiliency by kicking out and refusing to stay down. As referee Roberts checked on Creed, Ram grabbed his chain from Jeremiah and blast Creed in the head behind the referee’s back.

Remarkably Creed refused to stay down and kicked out at the last second. Sensing trouble Jeremiah got up on the apron as Ram slid outside to grab a chair and went to nail Creed with it. Creed turned the tide however and blasted Ram with a kick that bounced his skull off the chair. Creed quickly locked him in a sharpshooter and Ram was quick to tap out. Referee Roberts however had other ideas and disqualified Creed yet again. Blair Rhodes then called for KPW commissioner Butch Miller to make a ruling, Butch then overturned the decision to the chagrin of Roberts who threw a tantrum in the middle of the ring.

Kiwi Pro Wrestling Title Match: H-Flame def. Jonnie Juice

In possibly the biggest rematch of the year longtime rivals Jonnie Juice and H – Flame faced off mid ring once again. Both men proved their knowledge of each other with a quick series of counters and a breathtaking series of pin fall bridges.

Jonnie was sure to use his weapons of mass distraction in Hollie and Jessie at ringside to their fullest. Both were called into action to distract the referee multiple times through the match.

As the match wore on H – Flame hoisted Jonnie up for a H – Bomb (Running Pump handle slam) but Jonnie slipped out the back door and held H – Flame back for Ram to nail with a stiff roundhouse kick but the champion was wise to the move and ducked out of the way leaving Jonnie to take the brunt of the impact. One Nuke later and H – Flame had a successful title defence under his belt. After the match Jonnie and Ram had a heated exchange of words that ended with Ram chasing Juice to the back.
